The Story

Amber carries light the way nothing else does: warm, slow, faintly alive. Grzegorz set this piece low and wide so it fills the palm, then wrapped it in silver worked thin enough to disappear. Held to a window, the whole body glows from the inside.

About This Work

A low, wide amber body carved to sit flat in the palm, mounted with a hand-raised sterling silver collar, fitted stopper and suspension loop. The silver is worked deliberately thin so the resin, not the metal, carries the weight of the piece.

Entirely carved, fabricated and finished by Grzegorz Kiernicki. Each vessel is a unique work created by the artist by hand.
